Philanthropy and Fundraising

Cookies for A Cause!

During the holiday season, our chapter held a fundraiser where we filled 16oz and 32oz jars with cookie mix! We offered 5 different types of cookies to choose from: Cowboy, Gingerbread, Sugar Cookie, Oatmeal Raisin Spice, and M&M Cookie.

Proceeds benefited the sisters of the Delta Theta Chpater and the national Theta Phi Alpha philanthropy, "The Theta Phi Alpha Foundation."

The Theta Phi Alpha Foundation subsidizes educational programming at conventions and conferences, awards scholarships to collegians and alumnae, provides fellowships for leadership training, and raises funds to continue those efforts.

Foundation Scholarships are awarded to sisters who qualify based on academic record, financial need and service to the Fraternity.

UIFI fellowships are awarded to sisters who will be juniors or seniors in the upcoming school year. This exemplary institute, presented by the North American Interfraternity Conference, provides a solid foundation to those who will be leaders on their campuses and in their communities.

Our national foundation essentially supports two national philanthropic causes:The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built, & Glenmary Home Missioners. These philanthropies consist of programs aimed at helping families and children in extremely impoverished areas of the United States. The programs also raise money to aid the sick, provide food for the hungry, and improve the plight of the homeless in any way that we can.
